Album rimasterizzato da Bernie Grundman dai nastri analogici originali. 
Il primo CD include la versione rimasterizzata dell'album. Il secondo invece contiene "More Electric Ladyland: The Early Takes", 20 tracce tra demo e outtake in studio mai sentite prima. Alcune di queste sono demo con idee per delle canzoni registrate dallo stesso Hendrix al Drake Hotel; altre invece includono sessioni di registrazione con ospiti speciali come Buddy Miles, Stephen Stills e Al Kooper. 
Il terzo disco include "The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live at the Hollywood Bowl 14/9/68. Una registrazione scoperta di recente di uno show che si tenne a poche settimane dalla pubblicazione di Electric Ladyland. 
Il bluray contiene insieme al mix surround e in alta risoluzione stereo, anche un documentario "At Last... The Beginning: The Making of Electric Ladyland.
E' disponibile inoltre un libretto con una replica dei testi di Jimi scritti a mano, poesie e istruzioni per l'etichetta discografica insieme a fotografie mai pubblicate prima della sessione di registrazione scattate da Eddie Kramer.
